Kombucha Cocktails

Manage your thirst, help your gut, make or manage a hangover. Kombucha from Kombuchade has zero added sugar, and the sugar they do use to ferment is organic, fair trade cane sugar. There’s zero added carbonation, it comes in a glass bottle, it’s reasonably priced, and is actually made right here in Chicago. Hard to beat that. Here are some ways we like to get it in.

DAILY, AS IS

Kombucha is incredibly good for you for a number of reasons, the first being that it’s filled with good stuff for your gut. Healthy digestion is imperative if you want to get your health in order. Could care less about your health, need to fix your mind? 95% of serotonin production begins in your gut. Super hard to feel good if your gut health isn’t it order. The second is that real kombucha is an intensely hydrating beverage as it is basically a form of mineralized water.

BEFORE OR AFTER YOUR WORKOUT

The holistic hydration factor of kombucha is actually one of the core inspirations for Matt for starting the business. An athlete himself, he knew he needed a better sports drink. Turns out, kombucha is just that. We never thought of it like this but now we are sure to grab a bottle before or after our workout!

MOCKTAIL HOUR

The Kombuchade kombucha acts as a great base for most any cocktail you can imagine, as it’s basically a low-sugar soda, not too sweet and not heavily flavored. We like to add muddled berries, a bit of bitters, some citrus and muddled herbs to make it into something fun and unique. The possibilities are really endless.

SOMETIMES A MOCKTAIL JUST WON’T CUT IT

Fair. Consider the kombucha as the perfect adult sweet substitute for ginger beer in your Moscow mule, gin fizz, or dark and stormy. It’s a great addition to a mimosa, a margarita, or a mojito. Makes a great sangria, too.
